Drive Solutions, Gears & Motors

The company takes its origin with Benedikt Ketterer, who founded his clockmaking factory in 1832 in Black Forest, a region in southwest Germany famous for high-precision mechanical systems. From the outset, one of the management’s goals has been to be in the forefront with new ideas. The result, in addition to high-precision delicate work for clocks, was the first electricity connection in Baden and the factory’s own private rail siding for its material supplies. The range of products changed over time, and from the middle of the 20th century the company focused on the development and manufacture of mechanisms for various kinds of sun shades. For the past 25 years, Ketterer have been making height adjustment mechanisms for office and workshop systems.
